Professor Parag Singhal
Professor Parag Singhal is Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology. He is a Professor at University of South Wales and Visiting Consultant and Advisor to the Institute of Emergency Medicine at VPS Group of Hospitals. He acts as Advisor to the YEOVIL NHS Foundation Trust. Parag continues to be an examiner for Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Singhal was Divisional Director for Urgent Care for 8 years and help introduce a culture of innovation in the directorate. With the experience in different health care system for nearly two decades, he lectures extensively both nationally and internationally promoting the concept of clinical leadership and importance of collaborative work between the managers and clinicians in the NHS. Parag in 2017 was honoured with the Fellowship of American College of Physicians for his contribution to Medicine.
Dr Singhal is an elected Hon National Secretary of British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) and Chair of South West Division. Recently he has also taken lead responsibility as Chair for its new initiative -BAPIO Training Academy.
He is passionate about innovation in the healthcare and efficient systems based on developing more patient-centred services. His vision is, ‘Care delayed is Care denied’
