"They refused to participate," 117 said. "I am beyond disappointed and RuneScape gold frustrated with Jagex, and I am deeply sorry in the end that following such a lengthy journey and a long time, I'm unable to reveal this project to you. The mod seems to be in line with Jagex's guidelines for third-party clients, but the Runescape developer claims that it's making changes to the guidelines over the next week, to include references to projects that could affect the design of the game.
Original Runelite developer Adam1210 posted his thoughts on Reddit, saying that the ability to allow Runelite HD to continue would have a direct benefit for the future updates that are made by Jagex.
"I am also adamantly against including it in the "third parties' guidelines," Adam1210 said. "Most of those guidelines attempt to define what the line is between "quality of life] and cheating is and I'm of the opinion that the majority of people agree the current guidelines are a good illustration of that. It also assists in keeping the game's integrity.
However there is no benefit in the least for better graphics and old school rs gold it is only an issue once you have enabled it. Thus, it's just a misapplication of guidelines. So overall this is really unjust for everyone involved and I'd like to see Jagex could think about it."
